In Part 3 of this Stencilling class you will use texture pastes, velours, sands, foils and gel mediums. We will also do stencil designs + double stencilling to create unique decorations and backgrounds. Part 1 of this class covers how to enhance your die cuts using inks, EzyShaid, Woody pencils and chalks with different tools such as a variety of brushes, daubers, sponges, sprays and applicators. Normally we use the 'positive' cut of the die but what do we do with the negative? Learn how to use the 'negative' and then combine them to produce a beautiful decoration or feature. Using a stencil on your die cut can create beautiful embellishments - learn how to use these with a variety of products. Learn how you can use your dies as stencils! Use papertole tools and scoreboards + other techniques to create a 3D effect to your die cuts. Using all these things above, create your own embellishments or decorations which will save you money and give you the satisfaction that you made it! All you need to bring is yourself - everything needed is supplied.
Part 2 will see us use different mediums such as wet and dry embossing, using bond paper, embossing mousse, glitters, sprays, spritzes, vellums and acetates. We will use different pens to colour our dies – you will be surprised at the end result! We will also be blending different types of inks using different tools such as brushes, daubers, sponges and applicators to give your die cut an elegant look. We will look at both the die cut and the background. All you need to bring is yourself - everything needed is supplied.
Part 3 is using gilding flakes and a variety of foiling techniques, sands and velours, stamping, glass paint, chalkboard papers, aluminium foil, fabrics, cork + more! We will also be doing some inlay techniques to create some impressive decorations/embellishments suitable for any of your projects. Have a play with layered die cuts with different materials other than just card stock. Nesting dies can be used for many projects - we will have a play with these as well using products you may not have thought of.
Part 4 is all about using liquid inks on die cuts - Pigment and Alcohol. We will create backgrounds to cut the dies from but also use the inks directly on the die cuts using different tools like applicators, straws and compressors. We will also add decorative foils on top of the inks to give a metallic shine to the die cut.
This part of the Chalking Course will teach you how to blend single coloured chalk using different tools. Once perfected, we will introduce more colours to blend unique colours to match any project you are working on. Use highlights to emphasise your background or figure and using stencils will enable you to create backgrounds that are stunning. Use chalks for die cuts and we will also use chalking pencils in different ways. Chalking frames are a different way to frame your inner work. No supplies needed - everything supplied.
Part 2 will show you how to combine chalks with other products to create decorations/embellishments and how to create unique backgrounds that will broaden the focus of your project. No supplies needed - everything supplied.

In addition, using decorative stencils to create your own embellishments is not only very cheap alternative to buying them, but will give you so much pleasure and pride because you made them!
